1913 - 1918
Dudley Sr.'s years as a board track racer. Obtains Harley-Davidson dealership in April 1913.

1914 - 1925
Second location 116/126 Van Ness and Oakland distributorship.

1925 - 1929
Third location at 214 Van Ness at Hayes.

Mid 1930's
California Highway Patrol buys their first Harley motorcycle (225 of them) from Dudley Sr., starting a tradition to last into the 80s.

1939
Move to 655 Ellis in the Tenderloin.

1960's - 1970's
Flattrack sponsorship begins. Sponsors Mert Lawwill, Mark Brelsford (both #1 champions), Scott Brelsford, Frank Gillespie, and John Gennai.

1969
Move to current location at 66 Page.

1970's
Dudley Sr. serves as Senior Member, AMA Competition Committee.

Dudley Jr. President of Harley-Davidson Dealer Advisory Council.

1975 - 1977
Dudley Jr. serves as President of CMDA.

1985
Dudley Jr. helps form the Dealer Alliance, a nationwide Harley-Davidson dealer network.

1990
Thomas Perkins, third generation, takes over day-to-day operation of the dealership.

1998
Chris Perkins, fourth generation, starts his "official" apprenticeship. He graduates from high school, spends the summer as an apprentice mechanic, and enrolls at the University of San Francisco, alma mater of Dud Jr. and Tom.

The first Harley® motorcycle to be sold by Dudley Perkins arrives in San Francisco at 1626 Market.

1915-1938
Dudley Sr.'s years as a champion hillclimber. Ten years successive champion for West Coast.

1930
The Great Depression move to 137 Hayes. Sold only 15 motorcycles that year.

1938
Dudley Jr., second generation, age 14, becomes the shop "gofer."

1945
WWII ends. Dudley Sr. buys surplus Army 45s in Texas and has a record year for sales.

1964
50th Anniversary of Dudley Perkins Company.

1968
Dudley Perkins Jr. takes over day-to-day operations of dealership.

1970
The AMA Dudley Perkins Award is initiated for any individual making an outstanding contribution to the sport of motorcycling.

1973
Dudley Jr. helps form California Motorcycle Dealers Association.

1976
Dudley Perkins Sr., born 1893, passes away at age 83.

1989
Tom Perkins designs motorcycles for sale through the Sharper Image catalog.

1995
Dud Perkins Sr. inaugurated into the Sturgis Hall of Fame.

1997
Dudley Perkins Jr., born 1923, passes away at age 73.

1998
Nicole Perkins, Chris' sister, works the summer at the wharf store, managed by Tom's wife, Janet. It's a family affair!

2006
Our 92th Birthday! & We move into our new store at 333 Corey Way SSF CA
